Privacy notice

This notice explains how CampusGig handles personal information in the product beta. It applies to visitors, clients, students, and administrators who use CampusGig.

CampusGig is still preparing for commercial launch. This notice will be reviewed with qualified privacy counsel before real-money production use.

We collect information you provide, information created through marketplace activity, and limited technical information needed to operate and protect the service.

• Account details such as name, username, email address, profile photo, country, institution, course, skills, and portfolio links.
• Verification evidence such as school email status, student identification images, and administrator review decisions.
• Marketplace records such as gigs, applications, messages, accepted terms, submissions, feedback, ratings, disputes, and notifications.
• Payment metadata such as provider references, transaction signatures, wallet addresses, amounts, currencies, and settlement states. CampusGig should not receive your card PIN or online-banking password.
• Security and operational data such as timestamps, authentication events, rate-limit records, and technical error context.

We use information to provide accounts, verify student status, run the marketplace, secure payments, prevent abuse, support users, resolve disputes, maintain audit records, and improve reliability.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use student identification documents for advertising.

Profile and marketplace information is shared only as needed for the service. For example, clients see applicant profiles, and selected parties see their contract conversation and delivery records.

Service providers may process information on our behalf, including Firebase and Google Cloud for identity and data, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email, Flutterwave for supported local payment collection, and Solana infrastructure for public Devnet transaction records.

Wallet addresses, transaction signatures, token movements, and program interactions written to Solana are public and may be permanent. Do not place personal information in a blockchain transaction memo or public address label.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, protect users, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and preserve payment audit records. Retention periods will be formalised before commercial launch.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion. Some contract, safety, fraud-prevention, and transaction records may need to be retained.

CampusGig uses access controls, server-side authorization, encrypted wallet-secret storage, audit records, rate limits, webhook verification, and transaction re-verification. No system is risk-free, and the current beta is not approved for real assets.

We may update this notice as the product, providers, and legal obligations change. Material changes will be presented in the product before they take effect.
